There are several reasons your business should be listed in the Chippewa Guide. The guide is an integrated listing of businesses in the Chippewa Valley. Listing your own business in the guide will make your business more visible on the Internet, and in a central place people will look to for information on the Chippewa Valley. The Chippewa Guide is highly optimized for search engines, and many companies find that our listings perform better than their own web sites. You should be listed in the Chippewa Guide even if you have your own web site (you can link your listing here to your own site) as it provides one more path to information about your company, and you can't have too many. A Chippewa Guide listing will help your business be heard above the general noise level of the Internet.

Chippewa Guide has two kinds of listings for businesses and organizations (restaurants and bars are special and treated differently). Adding any business listing on the site requires filling out a registration form for the site, after which you may add any number of free business listings. You may edit your own business listing at any time.

Free listings include your business/organization name, business category, driving directions, phone number, and web address.

Extended listings include the same information as the free listings, but also include images (logo, photograph, etc.), your fax number, your business hours, more room to describe your business, and attached files that could include menus, coupons, or any other item ou want to attach to the listing. You may change your listing at any time during your subscription. TO add an extended listing, you must first purchase a one-year membership in the guide by going here . If you purchase an extended listing you will also receive 5000 impressions of a display banner free.

Restaurants and bars are a special case. We also offer two levels of listings for restaurants and bars. The basic restaurant listing is very similar to the basic business listing, but it also allows you to specify what types of cuisine your restaurant serves.

The extended restaurant listing lets you specify smoking options, and what special amenities your restaurant has by checking the boxes that apply to your restaurant. We will eventually let people search for a restaurant based on those special amenities. The extended restaurant option lets you describe your restaurant fully so that people can see what is special about your establishment. Extended Restaurant Listings are $100 per year, and also include 5000 free advertising impressions for a standard size banner.
