Add Your Own Events!

Does your organization or business sponsor events in the Chippewa Valley? Are you a local musician? We can help promote you. We have a free on-line calendar of events, and you can add your own events to it for free. Just click on the Add an Event link at the top of the page, and fill out the form. You don't even have to register to add an event.

Your event will appear in our calendar within about 48 hours of when you post it. You can list whatever information you want about the event.

Note that we reserve the right to not publish any events that we feel are not in keeping with the Chippewa Guide mission, but we normally publish almost all events that are submitted.

New!

We've just made adding events simpler- There is a pre-filled list of venues in the entry page - just click on the right venue and all the information will be filled in automatically. If you'd like to have your venue listed in the Chippewa Guide, just fill out this form!

New Advertising Package

Starting on Sept. 10 we will have a new package for paid listings in the Chippewa Guide.

Previously we had offered the ability to have a paid listing for $100 per year. Our new plan is a membership-based plan. Purchase of a membership for $100 per year includes the following:

  1. Upgrade of your business or restaurant listing to the extended listing, which allows you to add more information to your listing, as well as attaching files to your listing for menus, etc.
  2. The membership allows you to attach coupons to your listing, and to have your coupons appear in the new coupon section of the site. You may change coupons as often as you wish.
  3. Members receive one free banner display ad. This ad will receive 5000 free impressions on the web site. This is a very low-cost way to have banner advertising on a local web site.
  4. Member listings will have featured placement at the top of all lists of businesses in the site. Free listings will appear after the member listings on all pages.
  5. We will continue to support free listings in their current form.

Why We're Here

It's simple enough. There are a lot of great things to do and see in the Chippewa Valley. And there are lots of businesses and organizations that get lost in the mix because they're

  • Small
  • Don't have a lot of money
  • Don't have any good ways to promote themselves
  • Are local - they're not Wal-Mart, or any other sort of big business that has a big budget and a lot of name recognition

So - we're trying to help with that.

The Chippewa Guide is a guide to all the things that make the Chippewa Valley special. Local organizations, businesses, restaurants, web sites, and people. It's a collaborative guide. What we mean by that is that it will be built by the community. You can all contribute - and we're hoping you will.
