Storyhill

10/12/2008 12:00AM - 2:00AM

Admission: Adults $10, seniors $9, students $6. A 2008 Entertainment Package production.

John Hermanson and Chris Cunningham, the acoustic/pop duo Storyhill, are winners of the 2007 Kerrville New Folk Contest, and have joined the ranks of some of the finest American songwriters. They began performing together as teenagers, went in different directions for a while, and have reformed with a commitment to touring and recording. John and Chris bring to the stage an evening of strong melodic songs with airtight harmonies, and innovative arrangements for guitar and harmonica. Casey and Joe open.

Cantemus Kinderchoir

10/12/2008 7:00PM - 9:00PM

The Heyde Center for the Arts, along with the Chippewa Falls Optimist Club, is sponsoring Cantemus Kinderchoir from Hamburg, Germany. The youth choir is on a tour of the United States, and is including Chippewa Falls in its itinerary. Local families will host the 52 members of the group, ages nine to eighteen, who are accompanied by five adults. Most speak English, so this will be a chance for families to hear an exceptional choral performance, and meet our German guests. Host families are still needed for Friday, October 10 through Sunday, October 12. Contact Barb Buker at 715-726-1992 or email: barbbuker [at] charter [dot] net. Admission $3, youth under 16 years old free.
