Hike To Help Refugees, is a fundraiser for United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR)
100% of the funds raised are donated to UNHCR to buy tents for refugees. This year funds will be for tents in Darfur and Chad.
Hike pledge is $80 per day for a tent housing a group of five refugees. Walk one day ($80) or two ($160).
The Red Cedar Trail Hike is a new addition to the hikes organized by Hike to Help Refugees over the last six years.
A representative from the UNHCR in Washington DC, will participate in the Red Cedar Trail Hike.

Friday May 16, 1:00pm
Hikers meet at Menomonie Red Cedar Trailhead and hike 7 miles to Downsville.
Overnight gear is transported to Downsville.
One day hikers take shuttle back to trailhead.
Dress for weather, Bring snacks and water, money for supper and breakfast in Downsville restaurants or pack your own meals.

Saturday, May 17th 8:30 am, Downsville Trailhead
New hikers sign in, overnight gear is packed in shuttle vehicles. Hikers lave at 9:00 for Durand, ten miles.
At hikes end , shuttle vehicles return hikers to Downsville or Menomonie Trailhead.
Dress for the weather. Bring snacks and water.
