June 14th, 2008 will mark the second annual Open Air Festival of the Arts, along the scenic Chippewa River. In collaboration with the Eau Claire Downtown Farmers Market, there will be artwork for sale and on display by regional artists, performances throughout the day, food and children's activities including a people-powered procession, and a concert at the Phoenix Park Labyrinth. This is a waste free event. Recycling and composting facilities will be available.

The Shirley Doane Senior Center's Annual Strawberry Fest is the Center's biggest fundraiser of the year featuring BBQ sandwiches, homemade potato salad, baked beans and fresh picked strawberry shortcake and buckets of strawberries.

The schoolhouse will become a display room for Dunn County Pottery, as well as a folk school and community meeting center.

Claudia Schmidt, Take Two, and Yata will perform, and a dinner will be served by the Creamery Restaurant. The festivities will include a silent auction.
